The Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods has purchased options on vacant and abandoned properties through its Option Property program for many years. Several renovators have asked the Alliance to help them find buyers for these historic structures once the rehabilitation was complete. This has emerged into a service that the Alliance is pleased to offer to Realtors and Owners of historic homes in Richmond’s oldest neighborhoods. Now in addition to marketing vacant properties for renovation, we are extending our service to include renovated homes. If you have a property in an Old Richmond Neighborhood you would like to list, please follow the instructions below:
Basic Information For Listing A Property
- Property must be over 50 years old
- Property must be located in the city of Richmond
- Property can be a residence or located within a commercial district of a particular neighborhood
Please include the following basic property information:
- Neighborhood where Property is located
- Approximate date Property was built
- Architectural style of Property
- Any known history of the Property
- Price
- Total number of finished square feet
- Total number of bedrooms
- Total number of bathrooms
- Approximate size of lot
- All contact information for the person representing the property, i.e. phone, mobile, fax, email, pager.
- Link to MLS web site, if known.
- Include up to 6 electronic photographs with the above information that will be used to create an individual Property Listing Page that will link from this index page. JPG images are preferable. Include interior and exterior photographs that you feel adequately represent the Property. Photographs can be submitted as an email attachment or on a CD to our office at: 104 Shockoe Slip, Lower Level * Richmond, VA 23219 * 804-644-5040.
A listing on the our web site is $50.00 for 90 days. Prepayment by check or cash is required prior to posting the listing. No prorated discounts are applicable if the Property sells prior to the end of the listing period.
All properties will be listed by the neighborhood where they are located. A link from the main Property Listing Page will take you to a separate, detailed page for your specific property. Any inquiries for a specific property that comes into the Alliance office will be forwarded to the Property contact.
Please contact the Alliance if your Property sells prior to end of the 90 day listing period so it can be marked as SOLD. The listing will remain for the duration of the 90 day listing period marked as SOLD.
